Accountart - Since 2017

 

I used to work in public practices for 7 years before Accountart was established in 2017. When I was still a junior accountant, like other accounting postgraduate, I thought individual tax returns were a big thing in the accounting industry and spent over 4 years in a dedicated accounting firm which specialized in individual tax returns and super funds accounting with audit. With these 4 years of experience​, I become a qualified accountant with understanding on every inch of complex individual and super fund tax returns. By that time, I knew it is time to move across the boarder and gain more accounting experience in businesses and commercial sectors.

 

With a kind of luck, I had an offer to work in a higher-end business advisory firm where I dealt with almost a hundred business activity statements (BAS) every quarter and provide financial insights at the same time. These industries rang from retailers, importers, management rights to constructions and land developer. With different bookkeeping method they used, I have the opportunities to master my bookkeeping skills in MYOB, Xero and of course Excel for even smaller businesses. I knew this is where I stay and soak knowledge about businesses, trusts, asset protections and tax planing.

With these years of experience, I heard numerous clients' stories where their tax affairs were dealt with inexperienced tax agent and junior accountants elsewhere. With junior accountant, anything could happen including important CGT factors being overlooked, clueless to get your work done properly. You as client can be end up paying the bill for their incompetence.
